The inspiration for this site really comes from the concepts talked about in Seth Godin’s book called: The Practice
On his blog post about the book, he says:
“The magic is that there is no magic.
Creativity is a skill, not a talent. It can be learned. If we trust ourselves, we can do more than we ever imagined.”
Although he uses a term, creativity, that I don’t identify with myself (…yet!), the idea is if you want to do something you have never done before, if you want to accomplish, if you want to build skill, if you want to get better – you need a process of working consistently and shipping that work – that is The Practice.
So, this blog is something way out of my comfort zone, a place I can build a habit, develop skills, and most importantly ship.
I am not going to censor myself, not going to be a perfectionist, not going to second guess – but just ship posts.
I expect to get better at writing, I expect to find my unique voice, I expect to figure out what my Why and how I want to uniquely contribute to this world.
Big hopes and this blog is STEP 1 in my long journey.
